英特尔Diamond Rapids处理器将放弃近30年历史“Family 6”CPU ID

IT之家 9 月 25 日消息，据外媒 Phoronix 报道，英特尔工程师在当地时间本月 23 日向 Linux 内核提交补丁，确认 Granite Rapids 后的下代至强性能核处理器 Diamond Rapids 将采用全新“Family 19”CPU ID 辨识符头部。

从 1995 年推出的第六代 x86 微架构 CPU 奔腾 Pro 以来，英特尔大部分时间都采用了“Family 6”这一 CPU ID 辨识符头部，近年来处理器 CPU ID 基本为“Family 6 Model XX”格式。

“Family 19”的出现意味着有着近 30 年历史的“Family 6”未来将被正式弃用。不过补丁显示 Panther Lake 处理器仍将采用“Family 6 Model 204”的现有格式 CPU ID。

此外该补丁确认，Diamond Rapids 将基于全新 Panther Cove X 微架构。

Diamond Rapids 处理器目前已知信息甚少，IT之家目前仅了解到其有望支持 PCIe 6.0 和 CXL 3.0，该系列 CPU 配套平台为 Oak Stream，核心数量较多的 -AP 版本预计采用 LGA9324 插槽。
