IT之家 7 月 12 日消息，科技媒体 The Verge 今天（7 月 12 日）发布博文，报道称微软内部正考虑放弃在 EMEA（欧洲，中东及非洲三个地区的合称）市场销售 Xbox 游戏主机，后续只专注于销售 Game Pass、手柄及其云功能。

微软此前在宣传中，就表示玩家不需要 Xbox 游戏主机，就能使用 Xbox 服务，玩到 Xbox 游戏，很多 Xbox 首发游戏也会在 PC 平台上发行。

与此同时，他们还推广其 Game Pass 订阅，为新用户提供大量优惠。消息源透露微软内部已决定调整未来游戏推广、发行的重心，不再倚重 Xbox 游戏主机。
